The winning entry for St Mary’s, ‘A Warm Welcome Here’ has been submitted to Ecclesiastical for final judging. All entries submitted to St Mary’s will be on display in the church following the Remembrance Service On Sunday 10th November.
Over the last few weeks we have been doing some tidying, both in the church and churchyard. During this, two very battered wooden candlesticks were retrieved from a cupboard. On Friday 27th September a group of willing volunteers undertook various tasks in and around the church. Much work was completed including hedge trimming, weeding and carpentry repairs. Many thanks go to Mr and Mrs Marsh who very kindly arranged for ‘heavy duty’ trimming of the front hedge.

Sunday 13th October, 6.00pm, Evening Service; And so to bed… This month we will be exploring exploring the importance of the night, sleep and rest in daily living. There will also be a number of well-known hymns to keep us awake in the service.
We held our harvest festival on 15th September and had one of the biggest congregations of the year, with 23 people attending.
