On Sunday 25th March at Hinton Skydiving Centre in Brackley, Northants, daredevil Billingsley resident Amanda Prescott completed a 13,000 feet tandem skydive in aid of St Mary's Church in Billingsley.
In what she describes as "the most exhilarating experience of my life", Amanda plunged 8000 feet in just 45 seconds before the Parachute was opened at 5000 feet. She then enjoyed the amazing views during the remaining 5 minutes that it took to land.
A massive £55,000 has already been raised to complete the works on St Mary's Church Bells and Bell Tower and Amanda did her skydive to raise the final £1,700 needed to replace the asbestos chimney.
After the jump she said "the weather was absolutely perfect - and all for a great cause. Thanks very much to those who have already given their support". It is not too late if you would still like to make a donation - please get in touch via the "contact us" page.
