The Friends of Billingsley 100 Club

The Friends of Billingsley 100 Club is a small society lottery registered with Shropshire Council and is open to all residents of Billingsley, Glazeley and the surrounding area, their family, friends and other supporters of St Mary’s and St Bartholomew’s who are over 16. Membership costs £4 per month. Upon joining you will be allocated a number which will be entered each month into a draw. You may hold more than one number. If requests for numbers exceed 100 a waiting list will be made and numbers will be allocated as and when they become available. The draw will take place each month.
Each month 50% of the money collected becomes the prize fund; the remaining 50% is used by the Friends of Billingsley under the oversight of St Mary’s Billingsley PCC to contribute towards the running costs of St Mary’s Church and St Bartholomew’s Church and to support community projects. Minimal administrative costs of running the Club are met from the fund. Appropriate financial records are kept of all income and expenditure. All members are able to choose which church they wish to support.
The prize fund is divided as follows;
First prize 50% of the prize fund
Two further prizes each equal to 25% of the prize fund
For example if 50 numbers are sold in a month the prize allocation will be one prize of £50 and two further prizes of £25 each. If 100 numbers are sold in a month the prize allocation will be one prize of £100 and two further prizes of £50 each. At Christmas 80% of money collected will form the prize fund almost doubling the value of prizes. The more number sold each month the higher the value of prizes!
You may buy more than one number per month. Ideally payment is made annually by bank transfer; however arrangements can be made to accommodate quarterly payments or via cheque. If you wish to pay £4 each month you will need to set up a standing order from your bank account. Prizes will be paid by cheque. Each draw will be witnessed and recorded by an independent observer. Results will be posted on the this website as soon as possible once the draw has been made. All prize winners will be notified personally.
