Following a building project overseen by our Diocesan appointed architect, Billingsley church now has a fully accessible WC and a small kitchen area. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, powdered milk and sugar are now left out so that visitors to the church can help themselves to a hot drink.
The new facilities will also benefit people who come to tend graves, or to do the church flowers, as in the past people have had to bring water with them for these purposes.
We would like to thank the Deuxhill Village Hall Committee for giving Billingsley Church a grant which went a long way towards making this possible. Further thanks go to The Garfield Weston Foundation and the Allchurches Trust which also gave generously towards the costs.
